Created by customizer Dank & Co, the uncaged generation 2 model gets a special coating of glow in the dark hues throughout its Primeknit upper and soft Boost sole. Underneath, white Boost cushioning and black Continental rubber completes the shoe’s base look which is sure to grab attention in low-lit conditions.

This is the latest release from adidas’ year-long Sneaker Exchange series which pairs up the brand with various retailers and brands to create unique takes on its most popular running models. This collaboration between solebox, a boutique in Atlanta, and the Australian retailer Sneakerboy brings a fresh take on two of the Three Stripes’ most popular running models with attention-grabbing glow-in-the-dark details. The modern Pure Boost runner and retro Climacool 1 PK receive a Primeknit construction that features loose gauge knitting, allowing the shoes to emit a luminous green glow in the dark. The collaboration’s name, ‘Glow-In-The-Dark Box Jelly’, references the rare sea creature that Sneakerboy calls home and is found in the Georgia Aquarium, where the collection’s two sneakers are showcased.

The pair’s glow-in-the-dark features are more subtle on the runner than the retro. The light grey Primeknit build features a woven pattern accented by yellow highlights from the quarters to the toebox and heel counter, while grey is used on the Three-Stripes lacing cage and external heel counter. Underfoot, a white Boost midsole and black Continental rubber outsole round out the shoe’s look, while a contrasting white and green finish on the upper lining adds to its luminous effect.
